In Success Story
Meet our Volunteer of the Year – Donna Wagner!  A resident of Long Beach Island, Donna is a member of the Friends and is strongly committed to adoption!
She works tirelessly to be sure our canine buddies all find forever homes. Working closely with our fabulous photographer Jen Baart, the two create the personality photographs of our featured canines. It’s amazing to see what a string of pearls, a pair of glasses, a tie, a silly foo foo or a hat can do to bring out a dog’s personality. However, it isn’t just enough to photograph the dogs; Donna makes sure that the decorated, framed photographs are placed in over 40 businesses between LBI and the mainland! As soon as a featured dog is adopted, Donna journeys to the 40 locations and changes the picture in the frame to feature the next dog being showcased for adoption.
Here Donna is pictured at the recent Corvette Rally at the wharf in Beach Haven. On the table you can see a picture of Boomer a recently adopted chocolate lab and Queen Bey who we featured to help the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility.
