Luna is a senior Cocker Spaniel who came into our shelter as a stray. She had a large mass that hung off of her rear leg. It appeared to be very uncomfortable and had to be painful when she ran. Despite the unsightly mass, we were able to find Luna a wonderful foster home. In hopes of keeping Luna, her new mom called around to get prices on the surgery to remove her mass. The quotes she got were very pricey and she was unable to afford such an expensive surgery. After contacting us to see if there was anything we could do to help, we called Barnegat Animal Clinic who gave us a wonderful price. The mass was removed soon after because of the funding by Friends of SOCAS. Luna is now doing wonderfully and is very happy in her new home.
