Jack's Story

Jack was a special boy who won over all of our hearts when we saw his extremely large head on his strangely small body.  We could only describe him as a Saint Bernard/Basset Hound mix.  Jack’s neutering turned out to be all but routine.  He turned out to be a chryptorcid, which means he had only one testicle that descended.  After a long surgery to locate the other testicle, we had to close Jack back up because it was nowhere to be found.  After some time had passed and we found a wonderful family to take Jack home, Friends of SOCAF offered to have another surgery performed on Jack to find the hidden testicle.  Jack is now doing wonderfully and is very much loved by his new family.
