Southern Ocean County Animal Facility

The animals for adoption maybe seen on Pet Finder. You must go to SOCAS (shelter) in person to file for adoption. To adopt from the SOCAF you must provide proof of home ownership or a renter’s policy that states you are allowed to have a dog/cat. If you own another pet you must bring in any other cats/dogs that you may have to determine compatibility.

Adoption Centers Operated by the Friends

You may complete the online application or apply at the store. These kitten/cats are at the stores, on Adopt A Pet or in foster care. You must be 21 years of age and be able to present an ID with your present address. You must also have consent of the homeowner or landlord. Because of multi-generational living, we require the knowledge and consent of all adults in the home. Additionally, potential adopters are expected to have the time and resources to provide the necessary home and medical care, as well as training needs of the animal. Successful applicants will be notified.
