DOG LOVERS

WE NEED VOLUNTEER WALKERS
Do you love dogs? We at the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter do too and
our dogs need help. Trainers and pet psychologists agree that one of the
most important gifts we can give a dog is exercise. Although animals receive
fine care at the shelter, the dogs need your help to walk them more. Walks
help dogs release the energy that builds up from living in the kennels, and
help the dogs socialize with people. The dogs are more adoptable because of
these volunteer efforts. Even 1 or 2 hours one day a week would be extremely
beneficial. If you are 18 or older, please contact the shelter today at
(609) 978-0127. The dogs will love you for it!
CAT LOVERS

WE NEED VOLUNTEER CUDDLERS
If you love cats and want to make a difference in a homeless cat's life, the
Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter needs your help! We are looking for
people to join our volunteer PetSmart program. The new Manahawkin PetSmart
has invited us to house cats on the premises. We just need to provide
volunteers to help clean cages and feed the cats in the mornings and help
with the adoption process in the afternoons. And of course play with them
when time provides. If you are 18 or older and can spare some time
each week, please contact the friendly staff at the Southern Ocean County
Animal Shelter today at 609-978-0127.
